Safety Criteria for Chain Block

　　At early stage of using chain block, the safety criteria was made from the perspective of personnel security instead of both the human safety and the machine protection device which was neglected mostly.

　　With the development of economy and the improvement of people's safety concept, the safety standard of chain block involved in every stages of the chain block from the manufacture, transportation, installation, test, use, maintenance, scrapping, recycling. Safety standards should be defined broadly, and concept should be held by manufactures that what can be done through design to avoid accidents should be done instead of leaving potential trouble for those users. Thus the overall safety of mechanical industry can be improved also.

　　In recent years, safety standards of countries have the trend to apply to the international standards with the relative technology support, and uniformity of safety standards of different countries achieved therefore.

　　According to the requirements of the National Standardization Work Conference, from the year 2008, highly attention should be paid to the safety standards in the fields of food and goods and the detection method of safety standards for those for trading goods and products matters the human health should conform to international standards. And the rate of applying it should be up to 75% in key areas such as iron and steel, nonferrous metals, machinery, industrial automation and others.

　　At present, China has developed a mechanical safety standards about 200 or so, of which a, b class standards are basically using the corresponding international standards and European standards.

　　National Machinery Safety Standardization Committee has been committed to the development of mechanical safety standards, but many domestic enterprises have not yet fully carry the safe concept out into the chain block production and management. Safety awareness has to be improved. There is a long way to go for the safety standardization of machinery production.
