Scrapping Standard for Hooks of Hand Chain Hoist

  According to the industry standard JB / T7334-2007 regulations of hand chain hoist, the hooks should be scrapped timely depending on its damage degree. So here are regulations when the hooks should be scrapped.

  1. There are cracks on the forged surface of the hooks.

  2. When the hook becomes deformed and its body has been twisted over 10 °.

  3. According to the provisions of GB10051-88 lifting hook, the opening or deformation degree of the hook made of new material should be scrapped when it reaches 10% of the original size while 15% when it comes to any other material made of hooks.

  4. When the actual size of the abrasion loss on the hook dangerous section is less than 90% of the original size (95% when it comes to the new material made of hooks according to GB10051-88 lifting hook provisions), should be scrapped. And the hook nuts and the breaking piece should be without abrasion.

  5. The size of neck of hook should be no less than 90% of its original size, (95% when it comes to the new material made of hooks according to GB10051-88 lifting hook provisions), otherwise it should be discarded.

  6. The thread of hook should be no corrosion; otherwise it ought to be repaired in case of defect. When the axial clearance exceeds the allowable value, the nut must be replaced.

  7. Other conditions when the repair welding and the hooks expires or are affected by high temperature or strong corrosion, it should be scrapped.
